Description
This Optical Flow Sensor V1.0 for APM2.5 APM 2.6 APM 2.8. Flight Controller detects horizontal movement. Please open the lens before use and remove the protective film. The sensor only works in well-lit environments. A fixed-focus lens is used so it cannot focus on objects closer than 30cm (1 foot). Rotating the sensor will confuse the sensor. The optical flow sensor does not interfere with the MPU6000. It is used in a variety of applications like Vehicles & Remote Control Toys, Upgrade Parts/Accessories like Mobile Detection Level, Remote Control Peripherals/Devices.

Steps:
- Go to the Link . Click on Code Option, Click on it and copy the link.
- Open Arduino IDE. Go to File Menu. Go to Preferences and copy that link to “Additional Boards Manager URLs”. Click OK.
- Go to Tools. In Tools, select Manage Libraries and search “ADNS 3080”. Install it.
- Copy the code from this Link . Paste it into your Sketch file. Go to Tools, select COM port and match the Baud rate to the given in program. You can reduce the baud rate also.
- Run and Compile the program. Open Serial Monitor. Move sensor module in front of light or display. See the output on Serial Monitor.
